St. GEORGE, Utah — A St. George man will spend the rest of his life in prison after being convicted of multiple child sexual abuse charges involving two victims.
49-year-old Reyes Miramontes Guzman was sentenced this week in the Fifth District Court to serve a minimum of 130 years behind bars, following a jury’s verdict earlier this year.
Sentencing and Convictions
Court records show Guzman was found guilty of several first-degree felonies, including rape of a child, aggravated sexual abuse of a child, and forcible sodomy. Each charge carries an indeterminate prison sentence ranging from several years to life. The judge ordered the sentences to run consecutively.
Case Background
The case began in 2022, when one of the victims came forward to police, reporting years of abuse that took place when they were a young child. During the investigation, a second victim also disclosed similar experiences of abuse connected to Guzman.
After a detailed investigation and a multi-day trial in September 2025, Guzman was convicted on all major counts.

Investigators credited the courage of the victims and their families for helping bring the case to court.
